Sweet, another domestiricer.
Take a tip from me, my yuppie friend. Do your own clutchwork... that's the kind of job you'll get raped up the ass for pricewise. Just get one buddy to help you, the work will go by pretty slowly if you don't have much experience, but when it gets done you'll know a lot more about your car, including the condition of the undercarriage and how to fuck around with shit on it.
Doing your own work is the ONLY way you can be sure the job gets done right or even done at all, and you save a fuckton of money. I don't care how "Trusted" your mom's or best friend's mechanic is, the guy will fuck you up the ass and you will fucking take it like a bitch. So invest in a jack, my friend, and get a Sears Card.
And never let anybody named Nelson Silveira, or anybody Portuguese for that matter, build a motor for you.

well what i meant was someone in DV or another poster that has the facilities to do the clutch swap in my car. I just moved here and no longer have acces to tools or facilities to wrench on a car. and being this would be my first clutch job, it would be nice to have an experienced set of hands. Believe me i know about getting raped by mechanics and high prices (800 dollar tuneup which left the original plug wires and cap and rotor ) And in my own defense...lol....i only live in los gatos because im living with my grandma to save $$$
