Thanks. Speaking of shine...I lost my shine on my hood. I had water spots that wouldn't come out so I used a mild rubbing compound and then waxed it but now it don't shine.
Anyone know of a product that will bring back the bling on the hood?

you can't just wax over mild scratches like that, you have to polish em out first. I used meguiars fine cut cleaner (mild abbrasive) on an old car and after hit it with a lot of elbow grease (friend had buffer) using a good polish (swirl remover would probably work a lot faster than polish) and then wax it after you polish. wax is just there to protect the finish. what i have found works great on fords black (ahh, the old focus) is 3M professional hand glaze. deeper gloss than meguiars gold class and the guy at frontier fords body/paint shop asked when i last waxed it because a dried up piece of bird shit just wiped clean off. It was waxed about 4 months before that time and he said liquid waxes generally only last 3-4 months while the hard waxes (like in the can) last a little longer. even on the dodge the 3M lasts longer than the gold class and shines better.
